Esophageal aging: are presbyesophagus and Berstein test back?

Mei et al. from the Milwaukee gastroenterology group headed by Dr. Shaker, present in Gastroenterology an elegant study to show the effect of aging in the upper esophageal sphincter (UES) (1). In this paper, 11 healthy volunteers with a mean age of 28 years were compared to 11 healthy volunteers with a mean age of 74 years.
